what it takes to be a billionaire?
66
common frequently asked question : are billionaires born or made?
made : when someone's future has been determined by others or self, through hard work and plans, through ideas and breakthroughs.
born : as we know it.
the dropouts?
in one of the survey by Forbes, 20% out of 292 American billionaires have either dropout from college or have never started any. in the list as we already expected, includes Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Michael Dell, Larry Ellison of Oracle and more. do you notice these guys are in the business of IT and technologies?
latest who could be in the list as well, Mark Zuckerberg, who is also in IT, and there are even more to the list if you follow the current trend of our internet business.
the smart?
for others who made that 1 billion mark in different field like finance for example, they were of course, mostly educated or certified business person who hold MBA and sorts. Forbes says 90% of those obtained their MBA from Ivy Leagues. basically smart ass.
so where do we put ourselves now? smart and wanna get that billion mark in the smart way? or are we just dropouts and ready to plan some breakthroughs?
IT is money
in the last year alone, we've heard so many breakthroughs made by younger generations, earn them multi billion dollars at a very young age. who they are? obviously the social network guy, then there is also this shuffle guy, the guy who made video chatting more fun. more to the list of course, but that's not the point.
just, how do they hit that 1 billion mark? is that really simple?
well i do not know. after all, we are just another guy next door, waiting for that call saying "yes! you've made it!". aren't we?
what i do know now, every idea has it's pros and cons, but can shine to be a very good one, the one that will be approved by VCs then pump you certain amount of cash as small part of the capital to convert the idea into business.
it's the way they do now, specially in IT and internet business.
